Bring your laptop to get some work done here in London.

My heart beats strongly and full of admiration for this city. I fell in love with London immediately during my first visit somewhere in 2009, if I remember it correctly. The neighborhoods, the people, and the ever-growing vegan scene, I enjoy it every time I come back. Below a few places that can be found in South and West London to have a productive day with your laptop and get some work done while enjoying the sounds of life passing by in the background.

Oh, and that English accent, love it!

My favorite spot to be in London is South Kensington, and especially Kensington Gardens. Not to confuse with Hyde Park, which overlaps with Kensington Gardens. It’s an immense park where you’re surrounded by inspiration while watching people, walking in between the beautiful flowers, and find new writing ideas floating around the pond ;).

Oh, below also 2 cafes that are located at St. Pancras Station. Where the international train station itself is a beauty to see and walk around, in case of arriving early and waiting for your train to arrive; many cafes and restaurants can be found here to get some work done. It’s time that we start re-considering our contribution to climate change as well peeps. And traveling by train instead of by plane is one step closer to reducing your carbon footprint.

Plus, traveling from Amsterdam city center to London city center is amazingly easy. You’ve ever been to London before?

Pret a Manger

If you’re looking for a quick meal while in a hurry or traveling towards your next destination, visit Pret a Manger. Located near the train- and bus stations. But also to be found in the city center. The menu with vegan options is expanding, so tough call making a decision on what to eat.

Also, there are several Veggie Pret a Manger restaurants located throughout the city as well. YES, veggie love is growing!

I enjoyed my red beet salad, coconut(!!) coffee, avocado wrap, coconut bar (just like a bounty), fresh ginger juice, and a few other meals while staying in London. My to favorite Pret’s in the city are located at Shoreditch and Marble Arch. Shoreditch is a nice area to work, way less crowded than Marble Arch. But the second one is open from early mornings till the late evening.

Pret a Manger, Shoreditch
Monday – Friday 7 am – 8 pm | Weekend 8 am – 7 pm

Pret a Manger, Marble Arch

Gallery Cafe, Bethnal Green

So this cafe was located on the same street as my Airbnb during my stay in London, last February. I walked past it several times until I found out it’s completely vegan, yaaasss!! I also found out it wasn’t a good thing that it was located in the same street, since I visited for breakfast, lunch, dinner and of course all day snack time.. Yes, lime & sugary pancakes, cheesy pizza, muffins, brownies, chai teas, and salades, oh it was good. When you’re staying in East London, swing by this place.

Monday – Friday 8 am – 8 pm | Saturday 9 am – 8 pm | Sunday 9 am – 7 pm

Costa Coffee

Like Pret a Manger and Caffe Nero, Costa Coffee is yet another well known (inter)national company. With many branches around London, I had to put it on this list. Also because Costa is offering more and more vegan options, and the only way to support this is by sharing and caring right :). Westside London, Bethnal Green Area, has a place that is quiet and has an easy-going crowd of visitors, which makes working and writing for yourself a little more enjoyable. Oh, and try their vegan grilled sandwiches that were newly added on their menu recently as well while you’re here. I promise it’s good :).

Monday – Saturday 07.00 am – 8 pm | Sunday 8 am – 7 pm

Coffee Matters

I’m pretty sure I’ve mentioned many times before that I love to explore each city and town that I visit on foot. From time to time I take public transport, especially when I get lost and I realize after checking google maps that I walked way too fast and far away from my Airbnb.. Other than that, whether it’s raining or not, walking is the best way to get around. And the movement is needed when eating around the cities like I do #sweetaddictatheart. I came across Coffee Matters while walking around in Shoreditch. This cafe offers a few vegan options. It’s a small place but opens early and it’s run by independent business owners. And whenever I can support independent places, I do :)!

Monday – Friday 7 am – 7 pm | Weekend 8.30 am – 7 pm

Holy Shot Coffee and Brunch

Holy shot is located right next to Coffee Matters. This specialty coffee shop offers several vegan and gluten-free options, AND they don’t charge extra for plant-based kinds of milk for your coffee!! Hello, can we all start doing that, please? With choices in oat, soy, coconut, almond, hazelnut and even tiger nut milk the variations for a delicious cappuccino are endless. They also serve brunches during the weekends. When walking around Shoreditch, pop in and enjoy a good cup of coffee.

Monday – Friday 07.30 am – 5.30 pm | Weekend 9 am – 5 pm

By Chloe

The Location at Covent Garden is HUGE! So when it’s 10 am, visit, open up your laptop, and start working. This can be done while eating a morning pastry, oeeeeh that matcha blueberry muffin. Or skip the sweetness in the morning and go straight for that savory taste. With burgers, fries, pasta, salades, soups, and fish’n chips the menu is endless. During the weekend you can also enjoy brunches and they even serve dog cookies :)! When you’re in town, swing by.

| Monday – Saturday 10 am – 10 pm |

Sourced Market

Sourced Market has a wide range of products, that are produced by independent British producers with a big beating heart for sustainability. Quite a few vegan products can be found here, and the same goes for the one that is located at St. Pancras Station. With high tables and comfortable stools & stairs, this location makes it a nice spot to read, work, and write before stepping on the train.

| Monday – Sunday 10 am – 10 pm |

Benugo Espresso Bar

Oh, St. Pancras Station! My god, you’re beautiful! This station is immense, yet so easily accessible and spacy enough for every traveler to kill time if needed while waiting for the trains to arrive. Benugo Espresso Bar is located on the second floor. Which makes enjoying the view, the hectic, the sounds, and travelers pass by a simple thing to do while waiting. You can find many more cafes and restaurants around, there’s even a library next door.

| Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 8 pm | Weekends 8 am – 6 pm |
